If real estate is location, location, location, then our practice is moles, moles, moles! (Don’t forget, though, we treat other skin lesions, too!) Moles are skin lesions that everyone is susceptible to, as the average person will find 10-40 moles on their body over the course of their lifetime. Different moles can look radically different, as well, ranging in color from flesh colored to black, in size from the size of a pen mark to larger than a pencil eraser, and in shape from circular to asymmetrical and misshapen. Some moles can look differently from day to day and be consistently changing. If this is the case, or if your moles are large, black, and misshapen, they may be signs of an underlying disease such as melanoma. If this is the case, don’t hesitate to get your moles examined by a qualified dermatologist or other doctor. Cancer is dangerous and deadly, and it should be treated as soon as we possibly can.
Why different people get mole removal:
As a skincare clinic, many of our patients are women, but not all of them! Wide varieties of people can reasonably search for mole removal treatment, including men and even teens and younger children! Naturally, these different people and different demographics can have a wide variety of different reasons for seeking out mole removal treatment. These reasons can include improved comfort shaving, improved self-confidence, and other health reasons.
Shaving: It’s common knowledge that many men shave their face as often as every day! In fact, the term “five o’ clock shadow” comes from the fact that some men’s beard growth happens so quickly that they have a thin layer of facial hair at the end of their work day at 5 P.M. Some of these men might have to shave twice on some days, and having to shave around a mole can be inconvenient, and even painful if they happen to run their mole over with their razor – ouch! Cuts like this could even result in infection if they aren’t treated properly. From this perspective, it’s totally understandable that men could want to get rid of their moles – even if they’d have to be very careful to shave around and not over the treatment area, once it’s fully healed with minimal scarring they’d be able to shave over it, easy!
Self-confidence: Some children and teens may struggle with self-confidence on account of their skin lesions. Worse still, they might experience some bullying if a mole is unsightly or in an embarrassing place. If they didn’t have their moles, though, they might not be subject to these issues!
Health concerns: Unfortunately, both of these groups remain subject to the worst outcome with moles, and that’s cancer. Like we mentioned above, moles can be signs of melanoma. This can be particularly true if the moles are large, black, asymmetrical, or growing. Any moles like this should be seen immediately by a highly qualified medical professional. This professional can provide treatment in a variety of ways, like figuring out whether there is any actual cancer, performing a biopsy, examining whether any cancer has metastasized, and in some cases, removing the cancerous lesion when it exists.
Since our mole removal treatment is so quick and easy, you’ll probably have time for some other activities during the day. If you’ve got some time to spare, here’s a few ways to spend it:
The Conservatory for Coffee, Tea, and Cocoa: Founded in 1995, the Conservatory for Coffee, Tea, and Cocoa has been a vibrant part of Culver City ever since. It was part of the culture for Sony Studios employees and locals alike, still great for a coffee, espresso, latte, or whatever beverages are desired!
Sony Pictures Studio Tour: Step into the studio, and step into one of the most historic studio lots in the world! You can get a reservation Monday through Friday, and a $55 ticket will get you behind-the-scenes access to game shows like “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune” or even “Breaking Bad.”
Dear John’s Steakhouse: Dear John’s was founded in 1962 by late actor Johnny Harlowe. With classic dishes like steaks, salmon, and chicken parmesan, this is sure to hit the spot and fill you up! Also, while this Dear John isn’t Taylor’s Version, there’s plenty of music history here, as Frank Sinatra could have once been found playing piano in the corner.
